The EBU expels Russia from Eurovision 2022

The EBU (European Broadcasting Union) has expelled Russia from Eurovision 2022 as a result of the attacks launched in Ukraine in recent days.

Ukraine's request to expel Russia from this year's Eurovision Song Contest, have been followed by requests from the Netherlands, Lithuania and Sweden, among others, asking for the expulsion of the country from Eurovision 2022. In addition, several countries such as Finland and Estonia have threatened to withdraw from this year's contest if Russia finally participates.
