The Allocation Draw will be hosted by the host city at a location in the city that has not yet been disclosed.

The 36 countries out of the 41 total that have to go through the semifinals, will know in which semifinal they will perform on January 25th.

In this case, as the winning country from the previous year is one of those belonging to the BIG 5, there will not be a sixth country that qualifies for the final along with that BIG 5. But it will only be that BIG 5 that will be classified in advance for the final on May 14.

As a reminder, the BIG 5 is formed by: Spain, United Kingdom, Germany, France and the actual winner country, Italy.

The semifinals will be held in Turin on May 10 and 12 of 2022 and each of them, will have 18 participating countries. In each semifinal, 10 countries will advance to the final. Thus forming a final of 25 countries with the 10 countries classified from each semifinal plus the 5 countries that belong to the BIG 5.

The last allocation draw held in Rotterdam in 2019.
