The second semi-final of Eurovision 2022 took place yesterday with 18 countries competing. Of those 18 countries, 10 managed to win a place in Saturday's grand final.

Opening the show were the famous band The Rasmus, who, representing Finland, brought the whole audience to their feet and managed to secure a place in the final.

The second to perform was Israel, who with the song I.M, unfortunately, did not manage to get a place in the final. However, the dance he performed was perfect and really got the whole stadium in the mood.

The third to perform was one of the big favourites, Serbia. Konstrakta performed, singing In corpore sano, the first song with Latin lyrics in the history of Eurovision. Konstrakta made it through to the final after a lot of nerves and uncertainty as she was the last one to be announced.

Azerbaijan came in 4th place, and with a simple but quite emotional staging and a great voice of the singer, they managed to get a place in the final.

After Azerbaijan it was the turn of Georgia, with the band Circus Mircus, who unfortunately could not make it to the final. In this performance it was one of the performances in which the problem with the stage arch was most noticeable and it did not look good aesthetically.

In 6th position, it was Malta's turn with Emma Muscat. They also failed to make it to the final and the performance was quite boring and looked like a 5th grade performance.

In 7th position came San Marino, who got the whole audience on their feet and with the show they put on, including a mechanical bull, they did not manage to get a place in the final. This was surprising, as in the betting he was not well positioned to make it to the final. But, with the show he put on, he was one of the big favourites, and it was surprising that he didn't make it through.

It was then Sheldon Riley's turn to represent Australia, and, as expected, he managed to win one of those coveted places in the final. The performance was very emotional and he filled the stage by himself without the need for anyone else, accompanied by that staircase structure that made it an epic performance.

Then it was the turn of Cyprus, who brought us a visually beautiful performance, depicting Venus in her shell. Unfortunately, they failed to qualify.

After Cyprus, the second half of the gala was opened by Brooke, representing Ireland with the song That's Rich, which also failed to qualify for the final. It was a colourful performance, with pink and blue predominating and lots of pyrotechnics.

Then it was the turn of North Macedonia, represented by Andrea with the song Circles. She did not manage to get a place in Saturday's grand final either.

After North Macedonia it was Stefan's turn to represent Estonia with a song called Hope. The official video clip of the song was filmed in the desert ofTabernas. And the visuals in the background of his performance are also from the same desert. She managed to secure a place in the final and will close the Eurovision 2022 Grand Final by performing in the last position.

Then came Romania with WRS, singing a song called Llámame with a lot of Spanish and English parts. To the surprise of many people, she managed to get a place in the final, and will perform in second position on Saturday.

Poland was the next country to perform. Represented by Ochman. He managed to get a place in the grand final, with a performance full of storms and a lot of rain.

After Poland, it was Montenegro's turn. Vladana took to the Eurovision stage representing her country with a performance that was only half-hearted. They failed to qualify for the final.

Then it was Belgium's turn, represented by Jérémie. He managed to qualify for the final, being the first to be announced. It was a surprise for many, as they did not see him going through.

In the penultimate position of the evening, one of the favourites to win the Festival performed. This year, Cornelia Jakobs representing Sweden with the song Hold Me Closer. She had quite a few flaws in terms of realisation and the performance was not as polished as her national final. Still, they made it through to the grand final, and will perform in 20th position on Saturday.

Finally, the closing act was We Are Domi, the Czech Republic group who got the whole stadium up and dancing to their song and then made it through to the final. They will be in charge of opening the grand final on Saturday, performing in the first position of the Festival.
